We’re a new home for history, heritage, and community
We reconnect the Muslim community with Islamic heritage— through stories, spaces and lives that restore pride, deepen our identity, and honour tradition.

About us
The Tarikh Project reconnects Muslims with the richness of their past through learning, storytelling and shared experience. Not in an academic setting or a distant, detached way, but in ways that feel grounded, relevant and deeply connected to who we are.
We bring together teachers, historians and heritage organisations to help Muslim communities explore the stories, places and traditions that shape us.
Our Vision
Build a confident Muslim community rooted in its heritage
Our Mission
To connect Muslims with the stories, places and traditions that shape who we are
Our Ambitions
Make Islamic heritage accessible for all
Too often, Islamic history is hidden behind false narratives, closed doors, or academic walls. We’re working to make it visible, approachable and engaging, whether you’re new to it or rediscovering it.
Shape the future of how Muslim stories are told and shared
We’re building a platform where Muslim voices lead the way in preserving, interpreting and sharing our own stories, creating a richer, more representative historical landscape for generations to come.
Nurture the next generation of grounded, confident Muslims
We believe that understanding where you come from shapes who you become. Through storytelling, learning and cultural experiences, we help young Muslims connect to their heritage and carry it forward with confidence.
Transform lives through meaningful connection to the past
When people see themselves in history, it changes how they see the world – and their place in it. We create opportunities for communities to reconnect with the stories, places and legacies that shaped them.
Malcolm X (El-Hajj Malik El-Shabazz)“History is a people’s memory, and without a memory, man is demoted to the lower animals.”
